Becoming a Nail Technician
There are various routes which you can take in order to become a Nail Technician, one of which is to take a recognised course which will equip you will all the skills and knowledge that you need in order to become a successful Nail Technician.
The Training Room is pleased to offer a fully accredited Nail Technology course , the ITEC Level 3 Diploma. The course runs on 2 consecutive weekdays, every week, for 12 weeks.
Although the course requires a full time commitment, it’s part time structure allows you to fit other commitments around your studies, be that child care, a part-time job or your hobbies.
What Does the Nail Course Cover?
The ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology covers a range of areas and skills which will stand you in good stead when it comes to achieving a job within the industry.
The course covers the following areas and includes everything that you would expect from an acrylic or gel nail course:
Providing manicure and pedicure treatments
Application and maintenance of nail enhancements and extensions
Designing and applying nail art
Airbrushing nail art designs
Displaying stock to promote sales in a salon
Maintaining health and safety practices in a salon
Client care and communication within the beauty industry
Maintaining personal health and wellbeing
Covering these key areas will give you a comprehensive understanding of nail technology, including certain business practices such as health and safety which must be adhered to whether you decide to undertake employment in a salon, work from home or offer mobile services.
Where Can a Course in Nail Technology Take you?
After completing the nail course with The Training Room you will hold an industry recognised qualification which will enable you to undertake work as a Nail Technologist.
Options for employment after completing the course include, but are not limited to:
Being employed in a salon
Being self employed, either at home or mobile
Working abroad - luxury hotels/cruise ships
Working in television/film/photography
There may also be opportunities to extend your repertoire by completing additional courses for example in beauty therapy or spray tanning. In addition it is possible to enter management positions, depending on experience.
