Fitness on Holiday

The holidays booked and the trainers are out – there's no greater motivator to hit the gym and feel your best than an imminent summer break. As a personal trainer, your clients request is typically a combination of toning up and losing weight as the temperatures start to climb and the threat of exposing some skin becomes very real. After weeks or months of HIIT sessions and resistance training, they're looking lean, feeling confident and ready to hit the beach in style. Although holidays are a time to relax and regroup, they can also be an interruption to a successful fitness plan. Discovering Unhealthy Health Food

When walking down the supermarkets aisles it’s easy to get sucked in by 'low sugar' and 'low fat labels'. Different brands and food labels claim they have half the fat and less calories, but realistically they are replacing these ingredients with something else. When choosing your food for the week, always make sure you read the ingredient and nutritional information, which should be easily found on the packaging. Keep an eye out for higher sugar or fat levels, especially those claiming no sugar, as they replace the sugar content with sweeteners, which can be even more harmful to your body.
