You’ve completed your training and now you’re ready to take your first steps into the industry. Without a doubt, you’ll be keen to land your dream role. To help you at the beginning of your fitness career, The Training Room guarantee all graduates interviews with our partners. We do this because sometimes finding the job can be the tricky part, but with our help, all the right qualifications and bags of enthusiasm, you couldn’t have a better starting point.
To give you a little bit of extra help we’ve put together a few pointers to guide you in the right direction whilst finding a job.
When you’re new to the industry, finding a job with an established health club or gym allows you to have the support of the larger organisation. As an employee, there’ll often be no need to pay to use onsite facilities, plus you’ll have a steady stream of potential clients walking in every day. You’ll also meet new people and make connections with other PTs.
Though you may be eager to go directly down the freelance route, keep in mind that this will involve training your own private clients whilst paying a fee for a suitable space. With time, hard work and a strong client base, you may feel it’s time to branch off on your own and begin work as an independent PT. Combining your experience with your marketing skills, you will be ready to promote yourself and your business.
It’s important to bear in mind that although the industry is soaring, competition can be fierce. Experience is the key to giving you the edge above other applicants and will help lead the way to other opportunities. To help you land those sought-after placements, our career support team is on hand every step of the way, and our help will be available to you for three years after you qualify.
At The Training Room, we’re committed to providing support beyond your training which is why we’re able to open doors to some amazing career openings. To help you get your foot in the door, we promise each and every one of our personal training graduates an interview with some of the biggest names in fitness by working in partnership with leading employers.
