The route2work group today has announced Executive team changes as a result of finalising a new five-year business strategy which will see the group expand significantly at a domestic level, start to bring a focus to International expansion and where value creating and strategically aligned, selective acquisition.
The social impact education and careers group is on an exciting journey to level the playing field for talent and is impassionately focused on ‘connecting people to opportunity’ through industry and vendor-based educational programmes; leading to aspirational careers of choice on a global scale.
As the company enters the next phase of this journey, Chris Peel, has been appointed into the role of Group CEO, having joined the leadership team in March earlier this year. As part of this role he will be responsible for executing route2work’s long term strategy.
Andrew Powell, as the founder of route2work, will be focused on developing new organic and inorganic market opportunities, advancing the international strategy and building new strategic relationships. Thus creating further value for the group and ensuring that the social impact mission is accelerated.
Since he joined route2work, Chris has been operating as the CEO of The Training Room, the consumer-focused careers development business under the route2work group.
During this time, the business has successfully moved forward, despite the challenges of Covid19, on a growth rate of >25%.
Prior to joining the group, Chris has held several leadership roles across the training and careers development markets, including founding and growing one of the UK’s leading Apprenticeships and Vocational Training businesses.
Post Andrew launching the route2work group in 2017, the organisation has already supported over 12,000 talented new starters to access vocational education programmes and offering them the ability to enter careers of choice through The Training Room proposition (www.thetrainingroom.com).
In May 2019, route2work also invested into and supported the launch of Infinity Global.IO (www.infinityglobal.io), a technology driven EdTech B2B business focused on solving the critical skills shortages that exist today across a number of industries, including IT & Cyber.
Moving forward and based on the new five-year strategy, these proven propositions, combined with new products and services set to launch later this year, will help route2work successfully help over 50,000 new programme starts in the UK market alone, whilst supporting its employment partners to gain the long-term skills they will need to secure their future growth plans.
