Sir Robert Syms, MP for Poole, visited The Training Room at Fleets Corner last week. He talked with CEO Andrew Powell and other senior TTR employees about the business and its exciting present and future contributions to the wider community.
The Training Room, founded in 2006, is one of the largest providers in the UK of fast-track, accredited courses in IT, health and fitness, social care, teaching assistance, counselling and other sectors set to expand between now and 2030. It trains up to 4,000 students a year, offers guaranteed interviews, one-on-one career support for three years and has a track-record of getting 80% of students into jobs with its network of blue-chip corporate partners.
TTR identifies businesses and organisations struggling to fill entry-level positions and teaches the job-ready skills and provides the qualified candidates those companies need. Students benefit from learning up-to-the minute skills, gaining internationally recognised Level 2, 3 and 4 qualifications, and being personally introduced by us to companies where first jobs can be the start of a good career.
TTR is the only private training provider in the UK to have its own fully FCA regulated loan scheme. Its 100% loans make it possible for students from modest backgrounds to train and secure entry-level jobs with starter salaries of £19,000 - £26,000.
Through a partnership with TATA Consultancy Services (TCS), TTR is bringing the tech giant’s world-leading iON EdTech to the UK, providing EdTech on tap as an online service, with an enhanced experience for users, a suite of fast and scalable solutions, and an integrated assessment and marking service. This technology could supercharge, education, skills training, recruitment and career development in the UK.
Sir Robert said, "I'm delighted that Poole is leading the way in such a dynamic and innovative sector and wish the company every success in its activities."
