How Does The Training Room Offer More?

A group of PT students learning

A report published by the BBC back in March 2015 reported that the adult education sector in England is experiencing such dramatic cuts which could result in a significant 190,000* adult educations places cut in 2016. A gloomy picture for more traditional routes to qualification, so perhaps considering an alternative learning provider could be the answer.

With more traditional training providers, such as colleges, apprenticeships and traineeships, a student could be looking at anywhere between 1 and 4 years to complete a vocational course and get started in the workplace. However The Training Room are offering an alternative approach with the key objective of getting candidates into paid employment quicker.

The Training Room’s Active IQ Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training offers the chance for students to get qualified from as little as 6 weeks based on a fast-track intense course model, 6 months on a part-time course with weekend workshops and even an e-learning option where the learner has the ability to take the course as fast or slow as their lifestyle sees fit.

Every student at The Training Room is paired with a Careers Support Officer whose purpose is to work with the student to explore their aspirations in the world of fitness and help to build a career path to suit their lifestyle and ultimate objectives. This might include mentoring the student on how to set up their own business as a Personal Trainer, or introducing the student to the right corporate partners for them. The Training Room works with leading brands in the health and fitness industry, each carrying a different appeal for candidates who want to land PT roles; from employment-based roles to self-employed, varied rent options and career paths within each of their businesses. It’s therefore critical for the Career Support Officer to really understand where the candidate sees themselves, in order to make the right introductions.

With two thirds of The Training Room’s fitness graduates securing Personal Training roles in the industry, The Training Room really do promise to get graduates started on their new journey in the industry!
