The Training Room is the UK's largest Personal Trainer course provider and helps many people each year begin their careers in the fitness industry. Becoming part of the fitness industry seems to be a logical step for many people upon leaving the forces and we are, therefore, proud to be supporting Help for Heroes in the life changing role it plays in supporting injured service men and women.
Help for Heroes was launched in 2007 with the aim of supporting men and women of our Armed Forces who have been wounded in the service of our county. Help for Heroes has raised over £100 million in four years which has allowed them to make a real difference to the lives of the wounded. Every penny they raise is spent or allocated to the direct practical support of men and women in the Armed Forces whose lives are affected in the line of duty. Help the Heroes allows a way for everyone to get involved from individuals to big corporations and it is something that we are hugely proud to be part of.
The Training Room will offer 50 free courses over the next 12 months to the wounded, injured, sick and anyone who has been medically discharged. Our course will enable these service men and women to become fully qualified Personal Trainers and also help place them into work. We are really excited about this opportunity to contribute to Help for Heroes' plight and hope to make a real difference to these people's lives.

“It has been challenging to find new ways of approaching standard exercises and this is something that has been a real pleasure for me, I feel like I am really helping these guys and making a difference. They have all already gone through huge rehabilitation programmes so this course is really about fine tuning their knowledge and helping them learn how to train other people. They are all strong and driven to succeed and the content is within their means so the challenge for me is trying to push their limits. It’s been a real inspiration for the rest of the students on the course to have these guys there and they’ve learnt a lot about military training from them too.”
The members of staff who I have spoken too, are lovely and very helpful. So far my experience with The Teaching Room has been great. I am very excited in starting the course in August and hope to fulfil my dream job with The Teaching Rooms help in the near distant future.
