The best way to lose weight is probably one of the most hotly debated topics in the fitness world, with many different training methods advised and new fad diets grabbing the headlines every other week (or so it seems)! With all the conflicting advice that’s out there, it begs the question of what is the most effective method?
Let’s start with some of the basics regarding differences in weight and body fat, as this is often massively confused. Weight is your TOTAL mass considering all of your tissues, organs and bones. When people say they want to ‘lose weight’ or become ‘toned’, usually what they are trying to say is that they want to reduce body fat and increase some muscle mass.
