What to Expect Working in Key Stage 2

We will now be looking into what its like to work as a Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 2. As you can expect Key Stage is after Key Stage 1 and ranges from the ages of the pupils being age 7 – 11 years old. This means you will be teaching students in years 3,4,5 and 6.

What to Expect Working in Key Stage 1

When we talk about Key Stage this is a term used to class the four stages in school, after reception is Key Stage 1. Key Stage 1 is the two years of schooling in primary schools which covers year one and two (in England and Wales). You will be dealing with children in the age range of 5-7 years old, you will be there for the very beginning of a child's education.
