Goldie Sayers - London 2012

In my last blog I said that I wanted a memorable Olympic Games. Well it certainly was memorable but unfortunately not necessarily for the reasons that I wished for!

Getting Back into Training

We’ve all had times in our busy lives when training takes a back seat – perhaps a promotion at work that calls for longer hours and working weekends, maybe you’ve been travelling or completed a race or competition a few months ago and not taken your fitness too seriously after that. The training room’s personal trainer courses can help if you’re wanting to get your fitness right on track, but in the meantime read on for some top tips on how to get back into training after time out.

FRONTROWNEWS
Richard Carrel – Bournemouth RFC

I am a specialist loosehead, though I played my highest level of rugby at tighthead. Some say, oh well they can't be that different! Trust me they are, ask my neck! I am now in my mid 30′s and coming towards the end of my playing career. The natural progression for me would be a move into coaching.

Beth-Tweddle
Beth Tweddle - London 2012

Well a lot has happened since I last wrote to you all. The past month has been a bit of a blur. The Olympics was the most amazing experience. London did a fantastic job and I hope that you all got to watch it. I wasn't sure what to expect, even though I have been to two Olympics before I was still a bit unsure with it being a home Games. The atmosphere around London and within the village was something that will never be replicated.

Become a Fitness Instructor

If you're the kind of person who runs 10K before breakfast, enjoys eating healthily and is always on the lookout for the latest news on training and fitness, then a job in the health and fitness industry could be just right for you. It's a sector that has grown exponentially over the last decade, and even when times are tough, it seems gym membership is not the first luxury that people forego when they're tightening their belts.

Race Report - Fully Sussed

Steve Moors and Mark Chadbourne travelled to the Forest of Dean to take part in a round of the Fully Sussed series. The course was based at the dedicated cycling centre with lots of fantastic trails. Highly recommend a trip there if you get the chance.

Our Students - Jane Woodhead's Story

Keeping fit and healthy has always been a passion of mine. I love the "buzz" which you get following a training session and I personally do not think there is any better way to start the day than with a work-out in the gym.
