Five New Year's Resolutions for Personal Trainers

Your-Healthy-Eating-Regime-Can-Include-a-Treat-Day
Your Healthy Eating Regime Can Include a Treat Day

Can healthy eating include treats? Yes! Even fitness models use treats as a fat-loss strategy. Here's how it works. You might think that fitness fanatics eat nothing but lean protein and green vegetables all day long, seven days a week. That's the only way to get and maintain a shredded physique, right? Not quite. Many fitness fans enjoy a treat here and there, and some use treat meals to turbo-charge their fat loss. The case is that in 2017 a study took place by the International Journal of Obesity, which found that people who took a two-week break from the diets lost more weight than those who dieted consistently.

Fitness-Instructor-What’s-The-Difference
Gym Instructor, Fitness Instructor or Personal Trainer: What’s the difference?

When entering the Health and Fitness industry, you’ll probably hear a variety of job titles thrown around and the ones you’ll hear the most are Gym Instructor, Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. While all three of these career options sound similar, they are actually very different. Whether you’re looking to gain a Fitness Instructor qualification, or looking to apply for Gym Instructor jobs, these are both essentially the same thing. Fitness Instructor and Gym Instructor are simply two ways of saying the same role; it just depends on what the person in question prefers to be called. Work Out to Help Out

With the UK Government’s Eat Out to Help Out initiative now firmly a thing of the past, many companies and people are calling for a new Work Out to Help Out initiative! How-PTs-can-help-to-tackle-the-UK’s-obesity-epidemic-1-1
How Personal Trainers Can Help to Tackle the UK’s Obesity Epidemic

Even before the Covid-19, Britain was facing a major health crisis – obesity. According to the NHS, around 1 in every 4 adults and around 1 in every 5 children aged 10 to 11 are obese, while 63% of the population, aged 18 or over, are either overweight or obese, equating to an estimated (and rather staggering) 35 million people! Worse still, by 2034, it’s predicted that 70% of the adult population will be overweight or obese. Looking at those stats, it’s no wonder that the UK has been branded “the fat man of Europe,” so what can be done about it?
