Personal Training Courses Online

Personal Training Courses OnlineIf you dream of becoming a Personal Trainer but, like all of us, lead a busy life and can’t commit to a classroom-based course, an online Personal Trainer course is a great alternative that will fit around your busy schedule.
In this digital age, we have a wealth of learning options available to us. Not only are online courses far more flexible than classroom courses, you’ll also be able to continue to earn whilst you learn, which makes investing in your future even more achievable!

Benefits of eLearning

  • Flexible – online courses offer a flexible and convenient way to learn. All you’ll need is a computer, laptop, phone or tablet and a good internet connection. You can study from home (or anywhere else you want) at a time and pace that suits you
  • Affordable – online courses are often much more affordable than classroom courses as you don’t need to buy learning materials like textbooks (Google is your best friend!), not to mention the money you’ll save by not needing to commute to class!
  • Customisable – It’s never been easier to gain a Level 3 Diploma in Fitness Instructing and Personal Training with an emphasis on your chosen area of expertise. Simply add Continued Professional Development (CPD) courses to your learning to build your skillset and teaching techniques!

The harder you work, the quicker you’ll complete your course. Although you’ll have up to 2 years to access your eLearning course, most students complete their learning within an average of 3-6 months.

Tips for Successful Online Learning

Tips for Successful Online Learning

  • Time management – most adults spend around 20 hours a week watching TV…if you dedicated just 2 hours an evening, 5 days a week (a total of 10 hours) you’ll have time to study for your future whilst still enjoying plenty of Netflix time! Write out a learning timetable for yourself and stick to it. Don’t forget – you can split your study time however you like! You might prefer to do an hour at lunch and an hour whilst dinner is cooking, the choice is yours!
  • Study space – online learning can be tricky to get used to. It takes dedication, time, and peace and quiet. Choose a place to study that you can claim as your own. It should be somewhere quiet, well lit and comfortable. Put up inspirational reminders around your study space to keep you on track
  • Make a study plan and stick to it – create a study schedule early on and stick to it! Make sure everyone in your household is aware of the times you’ll be unavailable and ask them to encourage you if you find you lack the motivation to study. Even just 45 minutes of study is better than nothing and it all helps to keep you on track in achieving your ultimate goal – passing the course and becoming a fully qualified Personal Trainer! Make sure you schedule regular breaks for longer study periods to rest your eyes and allow your brain to process all that new information
  • Set time limits – increase your productivity and efficiency by studying for a specific amount of time. If you study for an hour, allow a 10-15-minute break before heading back to the desk to continue learning. Try not to study for more than 4 hours in one day to allow the information to really sink in without overwhelming you
  • Ask for help – you may not be face-to-face with your tutor, but you’ll still get their full support when you study an online course. Don’t be afraid to ask for help (or even just advice and tips). Your tutor is an expert in their field, and they are an invaluable source of information to learn from. Tutors love helping their students, especially ones that share their passion and enthusiasm about the same subject; don’t be afraid to tap into their wealth of experience and knowledge while you have  them!
