Well a lot has happened since I last wrote to you all. The past month has been a bit of a blur. The Olympics was the most amazing experience. London did a fantastic job and I hope that you all got to watch it. I wasn't sure what to expect, even though I have been to two Olympics before I was still a bit unsure with it being a home Games. The atmosphere around London and within the village was something that will never be replicated.
Finally the day of competition came and it was everything that I could have dreamt. I finally added that missing medal to my collection.
Everywhere you went in the village, there were Team GB athletes and volunteers that would wish you luck for your competition or find out how you had got on.
This was the one competition that I had been waiting for, the one medal that was missing from my collection and London 2012 was the last chance I had at achieving that dream. I was so nervous before the competition but tried to hide that. Finally the day of competition came and it was everything that I could have dreamt. I finally added that missing medal to my collection. Since winning the medal, life has been very hectic with media and appearances but I am absolutely loving every minute of it.
I am now taking some time to spend with my family, friends and boyfriend and will eventually get a holiday booked. Until then I doing a little bit back in the gym and keeping myself in shape and enjoying my freedom. I hope you all enjoyed the Games as much as I did and hopefully the whole country will get behind the Paralympics in the same way.
All the best
