Thursday 24th November saw The Training Room attend the Dorset Business Awards.
The awards launched in 1994 and every year the award ceremony reaches new heights with more businesses getting involved.
The Training Room were fortunate enough to win the ‘Business Growth’ award in 2014, so we were very excited to be invited back, to sponsor the award for the ‘Emerging Business of the Year’ at this year’s ceremony.
The awards provide an opportunity for companies within Dorset to celebrate their achievements and successes. There were 113 hopeful entrants into the awards, with 33 nominations, for 11 award categories. To get shortlisted alone is a fantastic achievement! To win one of these prestigious awards, gives positive exposure and helps raise the company's profile. This then helps with further recognition both in the county and nationwide! The awards really have made a name for themselves in recent years as businesses are eager to win.
Representing The Training Room was Paul Arnold, Loans and Shared Services Director, who took to the stage in front of 500 guests at the Bournemouth International Centre to present the award for the ‘Emerging Business of the Year 2016’. Shortlisted companies included Aish Technologies of Poole, Avius from Bournemouth and Koh Group based in Poole. The winner was Avius, who specialise in customer survey software. The Training Room would like to congratulate Avius; to win this award means that Avius have been recognised for their significant contribution to the economic growth and vitality of the Dorset region, and for their aspiration to grow beyond their current successes.

Our team had a great evening, and really enjoyed connecting with the different companies, who were either there for their respective awards, or to support local businesses. This event is a must for business networking.
Well done to all of the winners on the night. Here’s to next year’s ceremony!
