1. Turn your passion into a career

If you’re doing a job you love it won’t feel like work. Spend time thinking about what’s important to you, what motivates you, and whether your passion could lead to a career opportunity. It’s hard to believe any Personal Trainer doesn’t have a passion for health and fitness, it comes with the territory. So, have a think: what type of job do you want, what type of people do you want to work with, and what knowledge are you looking to gain?

2. Remove distractions

Focus on your priorities – is it more important to you to binge watch your favourite TV programme or spend that time refining your CV? If you’re looking to change your job, the answer seems pretty clear. Maintain discipline and focus on your priorities - you might find you have more time to focus on the bigger picture of achieving a career you’ll love!

3. It’s about what you know…

Having the right experience and skillset is crucial for so many roles. Training courses are a great option if you’re not interested in further education. You can complete some courses in as little as 5-weeks, or enrol for e-learning where you can work while you study. Invest in expanding your knowledge to help you achieve success, and it will help you stand out from the crowd!

4. …and who you know

Sometimes it helps having friends in high places! Does your friend work for a company you’ve been dreaming of? Request an introduction to get the ball rolling…if you don’t ask, you don’t get! We utilise corporate partnerships to help our students into roles when they graduate, as it’s often about who you know!

5. Persevere

Nothing worth having comes easily. Whether you’re just starting out in the professional world, or you’re looking to move up the ladder, progression comes with perseverance. But to persevere doesn’t mean you have to go it alone – we’ll help you into a new career with our dedicated support team. It makes taking the next step in your career that much easier!
